Grimes Times!

Many are not aware of Henry Grimes's great return to the music world in 2OO3 after 35 years away, or his many triumphant concerts, festivals, and tours since then (more than 25O performances in 22 countries, and counting!), or the inspiring workshops and master classes he's been giving along the way. If you're not, or if you'd like to catch up on his recent doings, please visit www.henrygrimes.com

Henry Grimes, the great bassist, violinist, and recently published poet, who has played, toured, and recorded with everyone from Benny Goodman to Cecil Taylor, from Charles Mingus to my late friend Gerry Mulligan, has just returned from a glorious five-city tour in Japan and Korea, and Henry will be in Portugal next week playing in the Ponta Delgada Festival in the Azores, as well as three concert spaces and cultural centers in mainland Portugal. After this tour, another follows almost immediately in Paris and Luxembourg, and right after that there are several more dates in Paris and England, after which Henry returns home to New York City near the end of November.
