New events at Lincoln Center

Jazz Talk: Innovations in Jazz and Film
· Featuring performances and commentary by trombonist-composer Wycliffe Gordon, piano master Ran Blake and video artist Andrew Demirjian

New York, New York (4/12/07), Jazz at Lincoln Center announced its latest installment of the popular Jazz Talk Series: Innovations in Jazz and Film. Jazz Talk moderator, Dr. Lewis Porter, trombonist-composer Wycliffe Gordon, piano master Ran Blake and video artist Andrew Demirjian will discuss the tension between innovation and tradition and the influence it has on jazz music and film. The event will feature performances by all of the panelists and film clips will be shown.
The Jazz Talk will be held in the Irene Diamond Education Center at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Jazz at Lincoln Center box office on Broadway at 60th Street, by calling CenterCharge at (212) 721-6500 or via www.jalc.org.
